This qualification is designed to reflect the role of contract bookkeepers and employees performing in the role of bookkeeper for organisations and who perform duties such as:
• establishing and maintaining accounting systems
• assisting with Business Activity Statements and other office taxes
• payroll
• developing management systems for organisations
Prerequisite Requirements
Certificate III in Financial Services is required or minimum 2 years of financial industry experience with sound knowledge of manual bookkeeping
Pre Enrolment Test
A pre enrolment test is mandatory with Bookkeeping School so we can assess your manual bookkeeping knowledge. Our resources do not extend to teaching Accounting Fundamentals as this was mastered at Cert 111 level, before entering this course.
A fee of $50 will be charged to sit pre enrolment test.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
If you have bookkeeping experience, knowledge of the industry and prior education, you can fast track by applying for RPL and we will assess the evidence you provide. Upon enrolment you will be assigned an Assessor who will help you with the process so you can achieve the best result.
Delivery Mode
You will be assigned to a trainer and the trainer will communicate with you online using Webex, telephone, skype and email.
The trainer will meet with you and induct you through the Bookkeeping School site and assign work for you to complete and hand in, in a specified time frame.
The Assessor/Trainer can mark your work and provide feedback to you at regular intervals.
Every two weeks you will be speaking with your trainer in regards to matters at hand.
Working through the exercises online, involving yourself with forums, using the library for references and completing tests and assignments will result in a successful outcome.
You will be given access to all training material online.

To attain a FNS40207 Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) 13 units must be achieved:
• 4 industry core units, plus
• 7 sectoral core units, plus
• 2 elective units.
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use well-developed skills and a broad knowledge base in a wide variety of contexts and environments. They apply solutions to a defined range of problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources in relation to a variety of tasks. They may provide guidance to others with some limited responsibility for the output of others.
